Analysis from CONTEXT showed that the PC market continued to deliver solid year-on-year growth in first 10 weeks of 2026 with European distribution revenues for notebooks rising 10% and desktops by 18%. This reflected sustained refresh demand alongside a wave of forward purchasing by the channel.

► PC sales holding up in early 2026

► Constraints expected to have more impact in second half

The momentum was driven in part by advanced orders aimed at securing devices ahead of anticipated price rises caused by memory shortages. However, the expected rise in average selling prices have yet to be fully reflected, as some stocks bought at 2025 pricing are still available. Consequently, the PC market is expected to remain relatively robust through the first half of 2026 and not change significantly until the second half, when the outlook may become more constrained.
