TD SYNNEX has added another new name to its team to provide focused support to partners in driving sales of Samsung Galaxy Enterprise Edition laptops and mobile devices. A new dedicated business development executive, Vassil Angelov, is the latest recruit to the team. He is already working to support partners on new business, the Samsung One programme and all other aspects of Samsung mobile business.

Through Samsung One, partners are given access to exclusive resources, including the PartnerView dashboard, DealBook deal registration, training, sales and marketing toolkits, and more.

The quality of the redesign of TD SYNNEX’s offices in Basingstoke and Bracknell has been recognised with the Workplace Design of the Year award at the 2024 Thames Valley Property Awards.

The project involved a comprehensive redesign of the Basginstoke and Bracknell offices, covering 70,000sq ft. Standout features included flexible, open-plan designs complemented by quiet zones, and community-centric cafeterias and town halls to foster social interaction and teamwork. There are also recreational spaces, including a wellbeing suite, mothers’ room and multi-faith room, to ensure all co-workers feels supported and valued.

The work was carried out by specialist London firm, Area.

TD SYNNEX has been recognised by IBM for providing innovation and engagement opportunities for partners on artificial intelligence. The 2024 EMEA Recognition Award for Best Business Innovation was presented to TD SYNNEX at the recent IBM Distribution Leadership Exchange.

The award highlights TD SYNNEX’s commitment to innovation across key areas, including partner ecosystems, market awareness initiatives and recruitment activities, and business investment. Throughout 2024, TD SYNNEX has taken a collaborative approach with IBM to foster a thriving ecosystem, giving partners opportunities to learn about new developments and form productive partnerships with businesses that have complementary skills and access to markets.

TD SYNNEX has been named Cisco UK and Ireland Distributor of the Year for the second year in succession at the vendor’s worldwide partner summit in Los Angeles. This year’s award has been made in recognition of the growth and partner acceleration achieved by TD SYNNEX through its alignment with key Cisco initiatives, including Security, Lifecycle and SMB.

The award also recognises the strong investment made by TD SYNNEX in its specialist Cisco team and the work they have done to support the continued growth of Cisco partners in the UK and Ireland.

TD SYNNEX is continuing to invest in supporting security partners, announcing the appointment of Sean Day as business manager for Sophos, while Casey Phillips now takes full-time responsibility for Palo Alto Networks.

Sean brings plenty of experience, having spent the previous two years in a Sophos-focused role as business development manager. In his new post, he’ll have additional responsibilities for supporting partners on all aspects of Sophos business.

Having previously taken on the additional responsibility for Palo Alto Networks, Casey Phillips will now be fully-focused on the vendor, helping partners to understand the opportunities, get on-boarded and taking full advantage of the company’s exceptional product range and reputation.

For the second year in a row, TD SYNNEX has been named Software and Cloud Distributor of the Year in the PCR Awards, reflecting continued strong investment in supporting partners in the development of their business and meeting customer needs.

TD SYNNEX partners with all three major hyperscalers – AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud – and has dedicated teams for each. To further accelerate channel growth in FY25, we have made significant investments in new capabilities. Additionally, our recently expanded Microsoft SureStep team, led by Marianne Gilmour-Smith, are fully dedicated to supporting partners' strategic growth objectives.

TD SYNNEX is on the final list of candidates in five categories across two major independent industry awards schemes, run by CRN (Computer Reseller News), and PCR (PC Retail).

In the CRN programme TD SYNNEX is on the shortlist for the Cloud Distributor of the Year and Security Distributor of the Year and is also a contender for the overall Distributor of the Year title, which it has claimed for the past three years.

In the PCR awards, TD SYNNEX is shortlisted for Cloud and Software Distributor of the Year and the Security Distributor of the Year categories, for which it was named the winner and was highly commended respectively, last year.
