TD SYNNEX has been awarded the Disability Confident Employer certificate (Level 2) in recognition of activities and processes that the company has in place to ensure that co-workers and job applicants that have a disability are treated fairly and have access to the resources they need.
► Demonstrates commitment to making a difference
► Follows hard on the heels of the launch of Limitless BRG
Disability Confident is a voluntary UK government initiative designed to encourage employers to recruit and retain disabled people and those with health conditions. TD SYNNEX has now received the Disability Confident Employer certificate (Level 2) award, which means that it is recognised as going the extra mile to make sure disabled people get a fair chance and ensuring that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.

Several initiatives that make a difference for disabled people are already up and running at TD SYNNEX in the UK, and the business continues to demonstrate its commitments around inclusiveness, accessible recruitment and communicating vacancies.
Through an ongoing partnership with a specialist consultancy, we are looking at ways to improve hiring practices, enhance accessibility, and strengthen our culture of inclusion. We are also including disability topics on manager training courses to help build knowledge and understanding around barriers that people with disabilities may face.
The award of the level 2 Disability Confident badge follows soon after the launch (in March 2023) of TD SYNNEX’s Limitless business resource group, which has been formed to represent and support people who have a disability or are neurodivergent.
Patrick Kelly, HR business partner, UK, TD SYNNEX said: ‘The attainment of the Disability Confident Employer Level 2 certificate is a further significant step that TD SYNNEX has taken in driving its DEI agenda in the UK and Ireland. With the recent launch of the Limitless BRG – and three other groups already running, the recent refurbishment of our Basingstoke and Bracknell locations, and other positive actions we’ve taken over the last few months, we are making great strides towards making our business a really great and more inclusive place to work.’
The office refurbishments provide a wide variety of agile and collaboration workspaces, giving co-workers a consistent and accessible environment and experience. TD SYNNEX managers are being supported in developing their own DEI plans, and DEI and unconscious bias training is being made available to everyone across the business. Other actions include Allyship and mentoring programmes, Gender Pay Gap and Equal Pay reviews and reporting, enhanced maternity leave and improved family paid care.
