Microsoft has unveiled its latest Copilot+ Surface portfolio, setting a new benchmark for AI‑ready PCs built for modern work. The new Surface lineup is designed to make full use of Intel’s Panther Lake CPUs to deliver on‑device AI performance for business users.
► New flagship models based on Intel Panther Lake CPUs
► Good availability expected for the calendar year
The portfolio includes Copilot+ Surface Pro 12th edition devices (13‑inch), the Surface Laptop for Business 8th edition range (13.8‑inch and 15‑inch), and new 13‑inch Laptop for Business models. Powered by Intel Core Ultra 5 and 7 Panther Lake processors with integrated NPUs, all devices deliver up to 180 TOPS of AI performance. Each system also features a dedicated Copilot button, enabling users to run large language models (LLMs) locally and access Copilot+ PC features without compromising battery life.

Importantly, good availability is expected on all models for at least the next few months, which will be music to the ears of Partners, said Jamie Wing, Surface business manager at TD SYNNEX.
‘Microsoft have prepared well and it looks like we will have good inventory of the new‑gen models from day one and over the summer and moving into the autumn. That means Partners can work with customers on upgrade plans. We can support them with multiple finance, configuration, delivery and roll‑out, and circular IT options, making it easier for customers to commit and for them to deliver value throughout the product lifecycle.’
