TD SYNNEX CEO Rich Hume has been named amongst the Top 25 Most Influential Executives of 2022 by CRN magazine in the US citing his considerable achievement in bringing SYNNEX and Tech Data together in only 12 months with positive results.

The CRN listings identify who the independent publication regards as the top 100 executives who are setting the pace for the rest of the IT industry in 2022. In the entry on Hume, the publication noted that he led the successful merger of Tech Data and SYNNEX to create the IT world’s largest distributor, and that in under a year, had brought the two businesses together into a single entity that ‘has not only done well financially, but has forged ahead on integration faster than many expected.’
The merger between Tech Data and SYNNEX was first announced in March 2021 and was formally completed on 1 September 2021. The company has since that time operated as a single entity. While it is known as TD SYNNEX in the US and in Asia Pacific, it has continued to operate as Tech Data in Europe.
