Keep your customers informed on Microsoft new year changes

Cloud Published 9th January 2025

Microsoft has recently announced a few changes to pricing that take effect in the early part of 2025 and TD SYNNEX’s CSP team is encouraging partners to keep customers in the loop on how it might impact them.

► Flexible monthly payment option now available for Copilot

► Currency adjustment will mean small drop in prices in February

One of the changes already live is a new monthly billing plan option for annual subscriptions of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft 365 Copilot for Sales, and Microsoft 365 Copilot for Service. This was introduced on 1 December 2024 and provides added flexibility for customers who prefer to pay monthly. It is 5% higher than the annual billing – which is an up-front payment.

There is also a regular semi-annual currency change adjustment coming up. From 1 February 2025, Microsoft will be adjusting prices for commercial cloud services and for UK customers this will mean a small price reduction of around 5%. The exact difference will depend on what customers have installed, but the change will happen automatically, so there is no need to take any action. Microsoft reviews and aligns prices globally to US dollar (USD) levels every six months to ensure that customers across different geographies and currencies experience consistent pricing.
