Overall global technology spend will grow by 7.8% in 2026 to reach $5.6 trillion — up from $5.2 trillion last year, with sales of ‘computer equipment’ seeing a much higher, 16.8% growth in 2026 due to rising AI server demand. And AI-specialised systems will capture more than 80% of computer equipment spend by 2030 – up from 43% in 2024.
Additionally, cloud and AI will grow at twice the rate of the overall software market, which is poised to see 11.5% growth this year. More than 70% of the increase growth in tech spending will come from enterprise and government investments in computer equipment and software. In Europe, overall tech spend will grow by 6.3% to reach $1.75 trillion.
