TD SYNNEX has been shining a light on early talent in the business by running a Channel Reality contest designed to encourage promising individuals to work together to develop ideas and aim high in their ambitions.

A two-day initiative saw six members of the HPE and sales teams put through a rapid learning process, while being followed around by a film crew. After which, they had to present their ideas to a team of senior co-workers from both TD SYNNEX and HPE. The experience was a really positive one for all the candidates and co-workers involved, said Andrew Stuart, HPE business unit director, TD SYNNEX.

‘The HPE TD SYNNEX Channel Reality Show gave developing talent from our business the opportunity to see what it’s like to be a business development manager or field sales exec’ for 48 hours. It took them well out of their comfort zone, but they responded and performed really well. All of them excelled and it showed just how much early talent we really do have at TD SYNNEX. For me, they were all winners.’

The winner of the contest Taylor Owen-Davies (pictured with European CEO of TD SYNNEX, Patrick Zammit) was taken to the recent HPE Enterprise Partner Conference in Vienna, to deepen their knowledge and give them experience of taking part in a major strategic vendor briefing.

Taylor is an early starter success story. Having started his career as a sales apprentice with TD SYNNEX in 2019 and completing the 18-month course successfully, he then worked in the sales team for six months, before moving into another industry for a time. He returned to TD SYNNEX as an SMB account manager in August 2024 and is now working to further develop his experience and career with the company.

The other five contestants have also returned to their roles, each of them taking with them extensive learning and invaluable experience that they gained over the intensive two day course.
