Partners stay focused on sustainability despite headwinds

More partners have a focus on sustainability this year than last year, according to figures from research firm Omdia. The firm says that 42% of channel partners in the EMEA region are more focused on the subject in 2025 and almost as many, 39% are giving it the same level of priority.

That means more than four out of five have maintained or increased their focus on sustainability. Omdia also suggested that having a credible sustainability strategy – backed by numbers – can make the difference when it comes to winning new business, especially with larger customers and the public sector.

Sustainability continues to be mentioned in RFPs and Omdia described the notion that companies had stopped caring about it as ‘the biggest myth of the year’. While the political mood has, for now at least, moved in a different direction, organisations can’t afford to abandon their commitments.

Partners that remain committed to sustainability, despite the current headwinds against it, will reap the rewards as interest in the circular economy and more energy efficient infrastructure continues to grow.
