Organisations using Veeam Backup and Replication can now strengthen their defences against ransomware by taking advantage of the integration between the leading backup solution and Sophos MDR and Sophos XDR.
► Detects and prevents threats targeting business-critical backup data
► Ensures backup data remains secure and recoverable
► March webinar available on TD SYNNEX Trusted Advisor site
Backup systems are often targeted by perpetrators of ransomware to prevent customers from simply taking a recovery option. The integration of the Sophos solutions with Veeam means that customers have much better and earlier visibility of any potential threats to their backup data and processes.
The Sophos MDR service provides 24/7 security monitoring, filters out redundant alerts, and investigates threats to Veeam environments, such as attempts to delete backup repositories, disable multi-factor authentication, delete encryption passwords, and more.
Customers making use of Sophos XDR for in-house investigation and response can also integrate Veeam telemetry to identify potentially malicious activity, combined with threat detections from other sources, in a single unified platform and console.
Both solutions include industry-leading CryptoGuard technology that universally detects and stops ransomware before it impacts customers’ systems, including new variants and local and remote encryption.
TD SYNNEX has already scheduled a webinar on the new integration for 14 March. This will be available subsequently on the TD SYNNEX Trusted Advisor site. Further webinars will also be scheduled.
The new Veeam integration is available as an add-on for Sophos MDR and Sophos XDR subscriptions via a new ‘Backup and Recovery’ Integration Pack license. For more information on the integration or our next webinar, please click the link below to contact the TD SYNNEX security practice team.
