Microsoft CSP partners that have opportunities to grow their Microsoft Azure business, but don’t have all the capabilities they need to migrate customer workloads currently deployed on-premises to the cloud platform, can now benefit from a fantastic new service that’s been launched by TD SYNNEX.
► Scheme is thought to be first of its kind in UK&I and Europe
► TD SYNNEX experts will perform full migration of workloads to Azure
► Comes ahead of EoS on Windows Server 2012 editions in October
The service is believed to be the first of its kind made available to Microsoft partners in the UK and Ireland or Europe. It has been launched to help smaller CSPs get their Azure business moving – and ahead of the end-of-support date on Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2, of 10 October 2023.

Subject to the project meeting requirements, TD SYNNEX’s expert team will migrate applications from in-house or private cloud servers to Azure, free of charge. All proposals put forward for the TD SYNNEX Migrate2Azure offer will first need to go through a Microsoft Solution Assessment. While this stipulates a minimum size of 25 virtual machines, TD SYNNEX expects to see, and will give full consideration to, propositions of a smaller scale.
Migrate2Azure aims to give SMB-focused partners the practical support they need to get their Azure business moving. If the customer isn’t sold on moving to the cloud or wants to evaluate the ongoing opex cost of moving to a public cloud infrastructure, the Microsoft Solution Assessment is free of charge, so there is no cost to the customer, even if they don’t move. But if they do, they could get a FREE assessment and FREE Migration to Azure, said Darren Climie-Newman, Azure commercial lead – Europe at TD SYNNEX. ‘While larger and more established MSPs may have the capability to move workloads to Azure themselves, many smaller Microsoft CSP partners either do not have the experience or the resources to manage a migration project. The TD SYNNEX Migrate2Azure service means that they can overcome that challenge and really get their Azure business moving.
‘With the EoS on editions of Windows Server 2012 fast approaching, this is the ideal time for customers to migrate to the cloud. That’s presenting opportunities to partners which, with Migrate2 Azure, we can help them to take.’
As well as access to the expertise and experience of TD SYNNEX’s own Azure specialists, the service will enable partners to drive higher revenues and develop closer relationships with customers without making any additional investment or operational risk.
