Artificial Intelligence Published 18th December 2024

TD SYNNEX is leading where it hopes and expects partners will follow by rolling out trials of Microsoft 365 Copilot across a number of its UK teams, including Advanced Solutions, sales, marketing, finance, human resources, and IT. If successful, Copilot licences will be made available to all co-workers across its three main UK office locations in Basingstoke, Bracknell and Warrington. The roll-out follows an initial pilot with key members of the Microsoft team in the UK and Europe.

Simon Bennett, managing director, Advanced Solutions, UK and Ireland, TD SYNNEX, said: ‘This is about practicing what we preach and taking the lead where we hope and expect others to follow. Both globally and here in the UK, TD SYNNEX has been investing strongly in helping both our own teams and our partners understand the potential of AI. The best way of demonstrating that is for us to lead by example and make use of AI in our own business.’

TD SYNNEX has been using AI to support automation and process improvements and enhance data and targeting. This new initiative will extend the use of the technology across the UK organisation. We have also launched initiatives to enable and support partners in creating value around AI. These include Destination AI – a comprehensive, strategic aggregation of multiple services and resources that provides a tailored route to developing partner understanding of AI solutions and how to take them to market.

As part of Destination AI, partners can access a learning and development pathway that will prepare them to use Copilot within their own businesses and to show end customers how they can benefit too. This provides access to sales and technical enablement training and various tools and resources, including the Copilot CloudLab Experience, which can be used to demonstrate Microsoft Copilot in action.

Earlier this year, we launched our AI Industry Ecosystem, a channel community initiative that brings together partners, ISVs, innovators and integrators to discuss developments, share experiences and advance dialogue with the aim of forging new AI partnerships and solutions. IBM, Lenovo, NetApp and NVIDIA recently took part in the first TD SYNNEX AI Ecosystems Showcase.

Bennett added: ‘I believe we are leading the way in terms of helping partners understand and address the potential of AI. There are many ways to travel and many different destinations on the path to AI enlightenment – we’re providing programmes and tools that allow every partner to take the route that is best suited to them. We believe that there is a vast and extremely varied potential with AI and we’re investing in our own business and in enabling ourselves and our partners to understand and uncover those opportunities.’
