TD SYNNEX named as one of UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™

Jodie Carroll, senior director, human resources, UK and Ireland, TD SYNNEX, said: “Being listed as one of 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™ is a testimony to our commitment and determination to ensure that women have an equal opportunity to develop and thrive at TD SYNNEX UK. We actively support and encourage women to be ambitious, advance their skills and achieve their full potential. We’ve made positive changes in our HR and recruitment policies and we are inspiring women to believe in themselves, apply for management and technical roles, and aim high with their ambitions. We will continue to make further improvements to our gender balance, particularly at senior levels, which will in turn positively impact our gender pay gap further and we encourage other companies in our industry to do the same.”

TD SYNNEX runs a number of initiatives that support women co-workers. Its Elevate business resource group (BRG), which is dedicated to encouraging women to thrive in their careers, has now been running for over four years. Women already make up more than 40% of the TD SYNNEX UK workforce and the company has a goal to achieve male-female parity across all layers of management.

TD SYNNEX’s most recent Gender Pay Gap Report showed a further reduction, down from the 21.2% reported last year to 18.1%. This was driven largely by more women being employed in less senior roles. Overall, women make up 41.2% of TD SYNNEX’s UK workforce and the percentage of women in the top two pay quartiles is 37.9%. A Diversity Recruitment Commitment ensures that representation of women will be increased, particularly within leadership roles.

The 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™ List is made up of employers whose people have provided feedback to Great Place to Work® UK that they work for a company that is inclusive and equitable for all. The 330 companies on this year’s list are committed to ensuring a reasonable balance of women and men across the organisation; removing barriers to women’s career advancement; and creating workplaces where all co-workers, regardless of gender, can flourish.

Following a thorough evaluation process, TD SYNNEX UK was first accredited by Great Place to Work® in 2023. It was re-accredited in May this year for 2024 and also ranked 14th in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development™ list.
