In the blog, Hock Tan stated: ‘I’ve continued to see questions in press reports about whether we intend to raise prices on VMware products. The answer is simple: No.’

He continued, saying: ‘We’re going to focus on making VMware’s products better for all of our customers, including enterprise customers who want products that are even easier to use. And, to be clear, we intend to continue serving customers of all sizes. VMware has a robust partner ecosystem that we will build upon to help us serve even the smallest companies. In short, we plan to take a “no customer left behind” approach.

This message was underlined at a recent very successful TD SYNNEX event for VMware at Villa Park in Birmingham, by Andy Corcoran, UK&I Channel Sales Director at VMware, who echoed the CEO’s message.

‘Hock Tan has made the Broadcom business case for buying VMware clear. It is focused on the business model, increasing R&D, and executing so that customers see the value of the full portfolio of innovative product offerings – not on price increases.

‘The VMware partner network is scaled, global and it works. That’s something Broadcom is embracing. It has cybersecurity and management solutions that complement what partners are already doing with VMware technologies. While Broadcom does have a direct sales model with large enterprise accounts, it wants to ensure partners have an opportunity to work strategically and support accounts where both Broadcom and partners have relationships and footprints, and both can benefit.’

Rebecca Foye, VMware Business Development Manager at TD SYNNEX, said that partners had responded very positively and the event had been a great success. ‘I think they were all reassured by what Andy said and got a great deal out of the session. All VMware partners should know that our team is here and ready to support them in every way we can to keep on developing and growing their business.’
