According to research by the World Economic Forum, around 80% of cyberattacks are password-related and larger companies are increasingly forced to invest a large proportion of IT helpdesk budgets into addressing password issues. IDEE’S solution, called AuthN, helps enterprises to free themselves from this burden and improve their cybersecurity resilience with a user-friendly password- and token-free authentication process that leverages cryptography and blockchain technology.

With no passwords for cybercriminals to exploit, AuthN drastically reduces the risk of phishing and hi-jacking of user profiles, thereby hindering the spread of ransomware in organisations.

Sam Paris, vice president, security and networking, Europe, TD SYNNEX, said: ‘At TD SYNNEX, we are focused on helping the IT ecosystem to quickly adjust to a fast-changing cybersecurity risk landscape. While prevalent today, traditional password authentication systems look set to become a thing of the past for enterprises and wider society.

‘With IDEE’s AuthN we are helping partners to prepare for this change with a scalable and easy-to-deploy solution that meets all major integration standards. It’s a compelling MFA alternative that opens up new opportunities for our partner community,’

AuthN is available as a white-label solution for partners who want to offer their own branded cybersecurity subscription-based services. AuthN works in conjunction with other SaaS offerings and is available with pre-configured integrations, to reduce complexity and time to market for TD SYNNEX partners.

Alex Christophe, Sales Director, IDEE, said: ‘We are excited to start 2022 with this collaboration with TD SYNNEX, which is a critical next step in IDEE’s growth trajectory. Working with TD SYNNEX enables us to reach new markets, leveraging the impressive capabilities of the global TD SYNNEX organisation at a time when the adoption for passwordless is rapidly ramping up. Our agreement with TD SYNNEX in Europe will ultimately mean more of TD SYNNEX’s partners will be able to dramatically improve their customers’ cybersecurity resilience, reduce costs and drive user satisfaction up with best UX practices.’

At the end of 2021, IDEE bolstered their offering with phone-free MFA that will complement the AuthN use-case line up for organisations that cannot mandate the use of smartphone authenticators and do not want the complexity, costs and risk of additional devices such as fobs, keys or cards.

This product offering is now available to TD SYNNEX customers in the UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, and will roll out across the rest of TD SYNNEX’s European footprint in the coming months.
