Microsoft Teams Premium is due to be on general availability from February 2023, giving customers the opportunity to benefit from a whole range of new features that deliver a more personalised, intelligent, and secure experience for everyone.

With Teams Premium, customers can extend their brand and company culture across meetings with enhanced tools and backgrounds, and Together mode scenes. The new release uses AI to make meetings more productive and impactful with live translation of captions to remove language barriers, and suggested action items. They can also make use of the intelligent recap feature and quickly gain insights into meetings they attended – and others where their name was mentioned.
Enhanced security features include watermark protection and end-to-end encryption for meetings, and sensitivity labels that prevent copy/pastes of meeting chats.
Microsoft has also added some really useful webinar capabilities, including streamlined event workflows with a registration waiting list and manual approval. There is also a virtual ‘green room’ for presenters that can be made available before an event, and improved management that means attendees only see shared content and participants who are brought on to the screen.
Other additions include text reminders for appointments and a centralised Virtual Appointment dashboard for a quick view into schedules, queues, and analytics. This helps to keep track of key usage insights, such as no-shows and wait time per appointment.
