TD SYNNEX is working with Vodafone Innovus, the leading provider of IoT solutions to offer a unique ‘cold chain’ proposition that could open up new market potential for partners.

► Connected solution enables full monitoring and tracking of refrigerated units

► Easy to install and can be offered as a managed service

► TD SYNNEX’s IoT team ready to support partner sales

Vodafone Innovus has an end-to-end solution for automated management of refrigeration systems. Using smart sensors and a web portal, it enables organisations in the leisure industry – restaurants, supermarkets, bars – and medical sector, and the specialist refrigerated transport companies that serve these organisations, to receive alerts and make regular checks on the temperature of refrigeration units, making sure they comply with regulations and ensuring that food and drink or drugs and medicines are kept within a specific temperature range.

There are three solutions available – for Connected Cabinets (distributed networks of refrigerated devices); Mobile Asset Tracking (for refrigerated containers that are being transported or moved); and Easy Fleet for vehicle tracking. They can be deployed independently or as part of an integrated system. While customers can monitor and manage refrigeration units and vehicles themselves, this can also be offered as a managed service by partners.

The solution is already in use in several countries and TD SYNNEX’s IoT team is working with Vodafone Innovus to recruit partners and take the solutions to market. Elliet Hall-Jones, senior business development manager for data and IoT at TD SYNNEX, says it’s a good opportunity and TD SYNNEX’s specialist IoT team is ready to support partners in demonstrating and discussing the solutions.

‘The Vodafone Innovus cold chain solutions make sure that products get to the right place at the right temperature – and stay at the right temperature. That saves time, helps organisations meet industry and safety standards, reduces cost and delivers improved service. The solutions are really easy to install and manage and already in use in other countries. This is a great opportunity for partners to take a new and innovative technology solution to customers in the leisure and healthcare industries, and an ideal way to move into the IoT market.’

Video Case Study

This tells the story of a Kenyan beer company that can track the temperature of its 5000+ beer-coolers around the country and even tell how many times they are opened, helping to optimise efficiency and deployment, and also anticipate sales levels and when restocking will be needed.

Founded in Athens in 2004 to develop IOT solutions, Innovus became a fully-owned subsidiary of Vodafone in 2012 and has a number of vertical market offerings that combine IoT sensors and connectivity with back-end solutions for monitoring, data collection and analysis.
