A group of Lenovo partners who are setting the pace in taking edge solutions that make use of the latest IoT and AI technologies, gathered recently for a day of sharing experiences and ideas – and a little bit of competitive racing – at the Daytona go-karting track in Milton Keynes.
► Partners setting the pace in IoT and industrial IoT and AI
► More opportunities are coming in fast-growing sector
Lenovo’s EMEA edge computing / IOT/IIOT ambassador, Anthony Sayers, talked partners through the company’s value proposition and use cases where Lenovo has implemented its edge servers to positive effect in industries such as retail, manufacturing, agriculture and smart cities. Partners had ample opportunity to discuss the options, ask questions and share ideas and experiences – and there are more good opportunities on the horizon, said Gary Armstrong, business unit manager - Lenovo ISG, at TD SYNNEX.
‘This is the second year in which we’ve brought Lenovo edge partners together and we see the momentum building and the number of opportunities growing across all industries. Lenovo has taken a leading position in the edge and IoT/AI space, and we’re working closely with them to help drive new partners and open up more potential. It’s a very good time to start exploring this area of the market and we’ll be only too pleased to help partners do that.’
For Lenovo, Anthony Sayers said it had been a useful day for everyone. ‘It’s been really positive. We’ve been able to elevate the messaging around our ThinkEdge solutions and how they give partners the opportunity to really broaden their discussions with customers. Edge is happening right now. We are seeing AI becoming very relevant and we have real use cases that demonstrate how edge computing can be used to really extend the capability of the compute stack.’
