TD SYNNEX has launched the VMware Accelerate programme, giving solutions and service provider partners the opportunity to access development resources that will enable them to enhance their sales and technical capabilities and accelerate their VMware business. The programme will provide VMware partners with a framework of in-person and online workshops and events. It also gives them access to excusive support and mentoring and exclusive tools and training.

TD SYNNEX has been running a pilot of the programme with a limited number of VMware Solution Provider partners for some time and is now being offered to all partners, no matter where they are on their journey, as Daniel Hicks, VMware cloud business manager at TD SYNNEX, explained.
‘The partners who have been working with us as we’ve been developing the VMware Accelerate programme have seen much higher rates of growth and we are now ready to extend that to the whole VMware partner community. By taking a focused approach, assessing where a partner is today in terms of its skills and capabilities – both technically and in terms of sales and marketing – and where their biggest opportunities lie, we can tailor our development programme to their needs.

‘That means we can make best possible use of both their time and our resources and get the maximum return on the investment that they, we and VMware are making in the programme and in partner growth and development.’
There are particularly good opportunities for partners to develop business around VMware Self-Service Cloud offerings and providing solutions that streamline hybrid infrastructures. ‘There is a clear opportunity for partners to differentiate with VMware Self Service and hybridity. Partners that are active in these areas are seeing really strong levels of growth and we want to encourage more VMware partners to get themselves educated, on-board and taking VMware cloud solutions to market. The Accelerate programme is designed to make that straightforward and effective – wherever they are on their own journey right now, and wherever they believe they can or want to get to.’

While the programme will certainly be attractive for partners that are in the early stages of developing their VMware cloud abilities, it will also adapt for partners that are at a more advanced stage, said Daniel. ‘We envisage that many businesses that join the programme will be at the early stages of their VMware business. But we also want to help established and experienced partners to grow and develop specialisations in vertical or technology segments, such as the public sector or AI. We’ll also be encouraging those more specialist partners to get involved in our VMware ecosystem and offer their skills to other partners.’
