Partners should be getting in touch with customers about upgrading to Windows 11 as the final countdown approaches to the October deadline. Support for Windows 10 ends on 14 October 2025.
► Less than 100 working days remain before Windows 10 reaches end-of-support
► Windows Pro means 58% fewer security incidents
‘Businesses still running Windows 10 risk security vulnerabilities, compliance failures, and costly extended support fees’ said Deli Mithiradaas, Microsoft programme manager at TD SYNNEX. ‘SMBs and IT teams in larger organisations need to finalise their upgrade plans as soon as possible, or risk supply shortages and rushed deployments. Our strong recommendation is that they act now or very soon, to avoid any issues.’

There are choices to be made about which option to take. For professional users, Windows 11 Pro offers the most secure solution, with 58% fewer incidents compared to Windows 10. The Pro version comes with AI-powered protection, TPM 2.0, Smart App Control. Windows 11 Pro will also take full advantage of the Microsoft Pluton crypto-processor that is built into the CPU to provide security at the core of the system, making Cyber Essentials compliance easier.
Windows 11 devices are also Copilot-ready, enabling users to take advantage of AI-enhanced workflows and improve collaboration and automation. New models are available through TD SYNNEX from all the leading vendors, including Dell, HP, Lenovo, and of course, Microsoft Surface.
