TD SYNNEX has underlined its ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion by sponsoring this year’s Basingstoke Pride Festival, which was due to take place in the town in mid-August.
► Underlines and reaffirms TD SYNNEX commitment to DE&I
► Co-workers expected to take part in activities and events
Due to take place on 17 August, TD SYNNEX is one of the official sponsors of this year’s event, which – like many others up and down the country to celebrate Pride Month – celebrates and promotes acceptance and equality and raises awareness of LGBTQ+ people and issues.
David Keiller, chair of Spectrum, TD SYNNEX’s business resource group (BRG) which supports LGBQT+ co-workers, said: ‘We are very proud that TD SYNNEX UK&I is an official sponsor for Basingstoke Pride this year. We’re thrilled to support this amazing event and celebrate inclusivity and diversity in our community.’
A number of co-workers were planning to take part in the day’s events in the town’s centre, which include a parade proudly demonstrating commitment to equality and support for the LGBTQ+ community. TD SYNNEX is a major employer in Basingstoke and supports various local activities and charities.
Launched three years ago, TD SYNNEX’s Spectrum BRG provides colleagues with a workplace community in which LGBTQ+ co-workers can express themselves openly. The community meets on a regular basis with occasional guest speakers invited to share their perspectives and experiences.
