TD SYNNEX rebrand – what does it mean to you?

TD SYNNEX NewsPublished 27th October 2022

It’s official – we are now TD SYNNEX in the UK and Ireland. But what does that mean to you? This simple Q&A should answer all your questions.

What’s changed?

The company name – and that’s about it. While the name change has been reflected on our websites, in our email addresses and on documents, we continue to support you the way we always have, while expanding our solutions, services and tools to help you grow your business.

You still have access to all our value-added offerings and specialist services and support in key areas such as cloud, cybersecurity, and IoT, our programmes and ecosystems, our automated tools and processes, and our financial services.

What’s the bigger picture?

You now have the knowledge and assurance that you are working with the world’s biggest IT products and services distributor and aggregator – and all the stability, security, and access to resources and relationships that comes with that.

As part of TD SYNNEX, we’ll be able to provide you with even more options and opportunities as we learn about and leverage the best practices and capabilities of the global organisation.

All of this will mean we’ll be able to help you even more to grow your sales, increase your profits, reduce costs and deliver higher levels of customer satisfaction.

You can read more about what being part of TD SYNNEX means to you and the three core ways in which we support you – by enabling your business transformation, providing continued investment and financial strength, and helping you to bridge the skills gap – on this blog post.

What about contacts and teams?

Nothing has changed with respect to our structure and organisation. We have the same people in the same teams.

Will there be any changes with respect to accessing online tools and EDI?

When you first log-onto InTouch again, you will be asked to re-enter your account credentials (username, account number and password). After that, everything will be back to normal. You’ll still be able to access all your orders and information. Nothing has changed with respect to EDI links.

What about financial details?

Our bank account name has changed, but the account, VAT number and all other details are the same.

What about Ts&Cs?

We did announce some changes to Ts&Cs on 17 October 2022. You should have already been informed of these in advance. Details can be found here.

We do recommend that you perform your own assessment and discuss any queries you might have about the changes with your own legal advisors.

Have emails and phone number changed?

All emails will now have an @tdsynnex.com suffix. Other than that, there is no change. Emails addressed to any legacy Tech Data email addresses will be received as normal. It might also be a good idea to whitelist/approve in their systems the new email domain @tdsynnex.com on your systems.

What’s the bottom line?

As Rich Hume, CEO, TD SYNNEX, said in the official announcement: “In this new phase, we will double down on our commitment to delivering higher value to our ecosystem partners through our end-to-end technology portfolio and our comprehensive services offerings, all underpinned by the passion, commitment and deep knowledge of our 22,000+ co-workers around the world.”

In addition, TD SYNNEX will strengthen its reputation as a company that cares about its partners, co-workers, investors and the broader world with a commitment to being a diverse, inclusive employer of choice and a structured programme, focused on achieving environmental sustainability objectives.
