It’s all very well talking about the huge potential and the tremendous opportunities that AI brings. It’s quite another to deliver the benefits and make a real impact on profitability for customers.
In an article published on the partner-focused MicroScope website in February, digital transformation specialist UBDS Digital used the announcement of the UK’s AI opportunities action plan to highlight the key role that partners can play in delivering the benefits of AI.
It stated: ‘The channel is instrumental in helping organisations at both ends of the spectrum ‘unleash’ the potential of AI. Many small businesses either don’t yet see how AI applies to them or simply don’t know where to begin. Meanwhile, larger organisations are investing heavily but often lack clear use cases, leading to disappointing results. For many it’s difficult to measure results beyond small improvements in personal productivity. However, that doesn’t heavily impact the bottom line.’
The article goes on to talk about ‘AI literacy’ and ‘guiding businesses through practical, incremental steps.’ It all makes perfect sense, but we already know all this; the real question is how do partners gain the knowledge and skills they need to talk to customers about AI and what it can offer, and then actually deliver AI solutions that get positive results?
