The TD SYNNEX Industry Ecosystems team will host a workshop in March focused on how IBM and Red Hat partners can use cloud marketplaces, including AWS Marketplace, to offer software and services to customers and unlock new revenue streams.
The session will highlight how TD SYNNEX simplifies marketplace engagement for partners by:
- Making it easier to access and transact through cloud marketplaces
- Acting as the Designated Seller of Record (DSoR) on partners’ behalf
AWS Marketplace has become a strategic procurement route for enterprise software. Customers with AWS Enterprise Discount Programs (EDPs) are increasingly choosing to procure IBM and Red Hat software via the Marketplace, as it enables faster purchasing, simplified compliance, and effective cloud commitment burn-down.
The DSoR model restores the traditional channel approach by allowing partners to resell IBM and Red Hat subscriptions through distribution, without the need to become marketplace sellers themselves.
During the workshop, the TD SYNNEX team will demonstrate how it is already enabling partners to transact in this way by registering TD SYNNEX as the official DSoR and managing all associated administration on their behalf. This significantly lowers the barrier to entry for partners looking to bid for opportunities through leading cloud marketplaces.
The session will also cover how to build a compelling marketplace value proposition and will include a real-world, working example to show the model in action. Subject to interest, additional workshops will be scheduled later in the year.
