Research from recruitment specialist Indeed on the US hi-tech jobs market, has found that AI skills are likely to be the most in demand and best-paid roles for 2024, with half of the highest-paid skills in tech being specific to the technology. The company’s January jobs showed a high number of openings available but also noted that expectations were higher in terms of skills.

- Elixir, $165,245: (Functional, concurrent, high-level general-purpose programming language that is also used to implement the Erlang programming language)
