Following the announcement Microsoft made in January about the foreign exchange (FX) adjustment and 9% UK price increase, the TD SYNNEX team has been pulling together a set of resources to help you understand and position the changes with your customers.
► Adjustments will harmonise global cloud service prices
► Important to move customers over to NCE before April
► Partners advised to take out single-seat subscription before increase is applied
► Join LinkedIn group to get the latest updates
All cloud services available globally will be affected and the changes take effect on 1 April 2023. However, existing legacy CSP and New Commerce Experience (NCE) subscriptions are price protected for 12 months and will see no change until renewal.

All renewals before 1 April will also be protected for the duration of the agreement, whether paid annually or monthly. It’s not possible to renew existing agreements early, but if you do still have customers that have not transitioned to NCE, this is an added incentive to move them before April.
For customers that already have an NCE subscription, TD SYNNEX is recommending you look at creating a new subscription for them with a single seat. While this has a cost, this means you can lock in the 12-month price protection and then adjust the seat number as required, after the old subscription has expired.
The changes are being made to adjust the fluctuations in currency values that have taken place in recent months and harmonise pricing across the globe. Prices are also changing in the Euro zone and Scandinavia, with the former seeing an 11% rise and a 15% increase in Sweden.
Deborah Sweeney, modern workplace business manager at TD SYNNEX has put together a short video update to explain what is happening and what we know so far. You can view this on the TD SYNNEX Microsoft CSP Partner Community pages on LinkedIn.
If you are not already part of that, please check it out as soon as you can here. We will continue to share more details as they come from Microsoft.
We have also created a Sway document that you can use – see here.
Microsoft will review the FX Rates twice a year and notify any adjustments in advance. Exchange rates can go both ways and while Microsoft will review twice a year, this doesn’t mean prices will necessarily change each time.
With respect to this year’s change. we will be making additional resources available when we know more. In the meantime, if you have any specific questions or concerns, you can contact the TD SYNNEX Microsoft team by emailing us below.
