HP INC has announced that it is discontinuing its popular LaserJet Pro M479 and M454 ranges, and replacing them with the 4302 and 4202 families, respectively. The new devices are up to 25% faster than the models they replace with speeds of up to 35ppm and more power efficient too.
► New devices make use of next-gen sustainable TerraJet toner technology
► Plastic packaging of toner cartridges reduced significantly
Other notable changes include the addition of a colour touchscreen panel on the 4302 and a more compact design that’s better suited to the smaller office spaces that many organisations need due to hybrid working.
Even more significantly perhaps, the new ranges are the first to make use of HP’s new and more sustainable TerraJet toner technology. This heats the surface of the paper more precisely, reducing energy usage by as much as 27% according to HP when compared to its older printers. It also uses smaller toner particles that can be packed closer together to produce a sharper image. HP has also reduced the amount of plastic in toner cartridge packaging by 78%.
In all other respects the new devices are similar to the previous, popular models. If you have any questions about these or any of the HP range of printers, please click below to get in contact with our team of specialists.
