TD SYNNEX has been appointed as the exclusive distributor in the UK for the new SYNOLOGY BeeDrive – we spoke to Jeremie Francois, UK channel sales manager for SYNOLOGY about the new offering and how the vendor plans to work with TD SYNNEX to maximise sales potential for partners.
With a range of reliable and high-performance options to suit just about every need, SYNOLOGY is a global player with an excellent reputation in the NAS market. It is now planning to build on that firm foundation with a personal backup solution designed for professional home users.
Available in 1TB and 2TB capacities
Simple and fast – 10Gbps transfer speeds via USB
Supports up to five devices for automated backup
With the new BeeDrive, SYNOLOGY is taking a really simple approach, as Jeremie Francois, UK channel sales manager for the company, explained: ‘BeeDrive is for individuals who handle important data and need to keep it safe. It’s for people who want reliable and fast performance without any complex set-up or any need to manage cloud storage subscriptions.’
Available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, the BeeDrive is a simple, compact and robust, and it can be set up easily in minutes. It offers blisteringly fast transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps (USB-C 3.2 Gen 2) and is also powered via USB. It also comes with a simple file transfer function called BeeDrop, that makes it easy to move files over to the BeeDrive over Wi-Fi, so users don’t even need to plug it in to keep their files and photos safe. When they do, a full backup will be performed right away.

Automated file synching means that happens fast – with no wasted time or effort, making the BeeDrive ideal for hybrid workers. It also looks great and is drop resistant. In short, the BeeDrive is an ideal backup solution for mobile and home users who need to take data backup seriously.
This small, simple solution is a great alternative to cloud-based services that for some users, might feel less secure and a little too complex and costly to manage. The simple, automated backup that BeeDrive provides means it easy for users to look after their data. It can be used with up to five devices and there is an app that ruins on desktop or laptop PCs, tablets or mobile devices.
The BeeDrive is being made available exclusively through TD SYNNEX in the UK and Ireland. That’s good for partners, said Jeremie Francois, as it means they can access the right combination of hardware and software and make the most of all the services TD SYNNEX offers.
‘We have a really good and well-established working relationships with TD SYNNEX, so that’s one reason we are working with them exclusively on BeeDrive. In addition, TD SYNNEX has an excellent and extensive portfolio of other products and solutions that partners can offer alongside the BeeDrive, and partners can also take advantage of the flexible logistics and financial services that TD SYNNEX offers.’
It will also mean TD SYNNEX can really support to partners in taking Bee Drive to market. ‘TD SYNNEX are very strong in the SMB and prosumer sector and having an exclusive on the BeeDrive means that they can focus on delivering the very best support to partners and really help them to drive sales.’
