From 12 January 2023, TD SYNNEX will be operating from the new Maplewood building at Chineham Park in Basingstoke. This is close to our previous home in the Redwood building but more energy efficient and with 554 solar panels on the roof, will provide a good proportion of the energy that we will consume.

While we will still be operating from – and deliveries still need to be made to – the Redwood location until then, our registered address has already changed (see details below).

The 815,000 square-foot Maplewood office has been carefully designed to be an optimum working and collaboration space. Sales, marketing, operations, IT, HR and a number of other teams will be based in the building. It also has a new dedicated technology centre, which partners can use for vendor technology demonstrations, proof of concept and technology testing and customer meetings.

As well as solar panels, Maplewood has an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating of ‘B’ and a BREEAM score of ‘Very good’. The car park has 24 e-charging points for electric vehicles. We have also invested in LED lighting to reduce energy consumption, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning is shared with other tenants. The offices are fitted-out to the SKA Gold environmental standard and more than 500 new office chairs made from recycled fishing nets have been purchased.

We are also switching to a supplier of green electricity, which we will use when the solar supply is not sufficient to meet the needs of the building. With Magna Park also now on renewable power, 90% of the energy TD SYNNEX consumes in the UK will be coming from sustainable sources.

As part of our further commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), the new facility also has a well-being zone, prayer room, and a mothering suite.
