The first Women in TD SYNNEX awards were a tremendous success, with 144 nominations received for 84 colleagues across the six awards. Three candidates were shortlisted for each but in the end, there could be only one winner – see the box below for the full details of who was nominated and who were named as the winners. As well as a personal trophy, they will all now be put forward for the prestigious, industry-wide CRN Women in the Channel Awards for 2021, and also be invited to attend the awards ceremony. They will also benefit from one half day of additional annual leave, and have a special banner they can use in their email signatures.
The judges found it extremely difficult to choose only six winners, so congratulations to every woman and man who was put forward
Celebrating excellence
David Watts, Senior Vice President, UK and Ireland, congratulated everyone who was involved and all the colleague who were put forward. “I am so proud of the whole team at TD SYNNEX and it’s really important to recognise and celebrate the excellence and achievements of all the women who work for the company. Well done to all of our winners and everyone who was nominated. The judges found it extremely difficult to choose only six winners, so congratulations to every woman and man who was put forward.”
He also extended special gratitude to the panel of four external judges: Louise Matthews, Marketing Director UK and Ireland at VMware; Graeme Watt, CEO of Softcat plc; Julia Bishop, Device Marketing Lead at Microsoft; and Julie Simpson, CEO of ResouceiT Consulting. All the judges were hugely impressed with the entries and, as David noted, found it difficult to decide on the eventual winners.
It was a real pleasure to read about how passionate you are about your work and how great you are at supporting your colleagues
Super-impressive
Louise Matthews of VMware stated: ‘What struck me was just the incredible calibre of the nominations. They were a joy to read and what shone through for me, aside from the sheer work ethic, was the values of TD SYNNEX – kindness, integrity, and the empathy that you have shown for your colleagues over the past year, and also your passion. It’s been a pleasure to be involved.’
Julia Bishop of Microsoft added: ‘Everyone who was nominated was super-impressive but unfortunately, we were only allowed six winners and you can be super-proud if you made it to the short-list. It was a real pleasure to read about how passionate you are about your work and how great you are at supporting your colleagues.’

The awards are also very much a celebration of the continuing success of the Elevate group in the UK and Ireland. If you want to find out more about Elevate, please email ElevateUK&I@tdsynnex.com
