Most of the country has been working at home for the last few weeks, but for TD SYNNEX’s Magna Park warehousing facility, it’s business as usual, with a few important changes to protect staff. With capacity to ship more than 4,500 orders a day, the logistics centre is one of the biggest in the UK and Ireland and a key link in the IT supply chain.

While sales, product management, and services teams who are usually based in Basingstoke, Bracknell and Warrington have all been working from home, they are fully online and able to access systems and operate as normal. And InTouch, TD SYNNEX’s online stock and order management platform, also remains fully available – indeed, usage has risen over the last few weeks.
‘Teams are busy as ever and doing their best to keep customers fully in the picture’
TD SYNNEX also continue to work hard to make sure that there is an adequate supply of product available, especially for items that are in high demand. Adam Lee, Business Unit Manager, Global Computing Components (GCC), at TD SYNNEX, said that his team have been extremely busy.
‘Obviously, there have been a lot of questions over availability and supply of key components, such as memory and SSD, and a lot of conflicting information out there. We have been doing our best to keep customers fully informed of the position and to secure a good flow of inventory. We are still operating as normal and Magna is as busy as ever.’
He encouraged customers to contact the team if they have any specific needs or want to plan ahead. ‘We always have advanced and holding orders in place, and if there are specific requirements, they can be adjusted. The earlier we know about a forthcoming need, the sooner we can act to secure product.’
