For the first time, Lenovo has been ranked as the number-one storage provider of entry-level external storage solutions – which represents 61% of the total market for storage device units sold globally – and is now ranked as the number-five storage provider globally in all segments, according to IDC Worldwide Quarterly Enterprise Storage Systems Tracker, 4Q22.

Lenovo has achieved 138% year-on-year growth storage revenues over the past year and was ranked number-one in the ‘Price Bands 1-4 (storage <$25K) external storage’ category of IDC’s report. The company has also seen more than 100% growth in the All-Flash Array (AFA) category and 22% growth in midrange storage.
It is now expanding its range with new systems designed to support sustainability goals and provide data protection. The new D4390 High Density JBOD for Software Defined Storage consumes up to 62% less power compared to the previous generation, while the new ThinkSystem DM Systems 9.12 Software Release delivers automated ransomware protection, one-click defence against malicious files, tamper-proof snapshots and more.
