The TD SYNNEX Sustainability Leader’s Forum took place at the IBM Innovation Centre in September, featuring Lucy Shepherd, a renowned explorer and environmental advocate, who shared captivating stories and insights from her groundbreaking expeditions around the world.
► Part of the TD SYNNEX Sustainability Programme
► New forum scheduled for November 2023 in Manchester
The event drew 45 leaders in Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) from prominent enterprises primarily within the banking, media, retail, and legal sectors. TD SYNNEX extended an exclusive invitation to a select group of strategic partners for the fully subscribed Forum at York Road on September 21st.

Following the event attendees left feeling inspired and motivated. Lucy Shepherd emphasized the need for an attitude of "Hope not Horror" when addressing environmental issues. Drawing from her firsthand experiences, she highlighted the significant damage being inflicted on the planet, from the melting arctic circle to the presence of microplastics in water samples from the remote Guyana Amazon forests.
However, with the aid of cutting-edge technology, such as IBM's Envizi sustainability suite, coupled with proactive measures from governments and corporations, there remains a window of opportunity to rectify these pressing concerns.
The forum boasted a further impressive lineup of speakers, including Dr. Petrena Prince, IBM’s Programme Manager for their Real Estate Sustainability Programme, and Dr. Geeth de Mel, Senior Research Scientist at IBM Daresbury.
The next event is scheduled for IBM Manchester in November. For more information please click below.
