IBM aiming to drive growth with new Partner Plus programme

Infrastructure Published 21st April 2023

IBM has launched its new Partner Plus programme with the aim of making it easier for partners to get involved in taking its solutions to market and to grow their IBM sales. The revised and simplified programme has been built around partner feedback and places much more emphasis on the value that the partner and IBM can deliver together.

► New programme makes it simpler to access all the benefits

► New partners can sign-up faster

In a special video made for TD SYNNEX partners, Ian Lyon, sales leader for IBM, explained the thinking behind the update. “In my 20-plus years of working in the IBM partner ecosystem, this is the biggest change to the partner programme I've seen. We are trying to help our existing partners grow and to be more successful. We are also making it easier to attract new partners and we want those new partners to bring new skills and bring new clients with them. It was probably time that we had a more modern, fresh programme and set of tools to support our mutual growth ambitions.”

One of the big changes is that it’s now easier for partners to sign-up. The process can be completed in just two days, after which they will have full access to discounts, incentive programmes, support and all the other benefits of the programme.

Jared Carrey, senior director of the IBM business unit at TD SYNNEX, believes it will make a real difference for partners. “It brings greater synergy with ourselves, and the IBM sellers and sales teams, which is important. It takes away the complexity.”

The new programme has been put together on the basis of extensive partner feedback and IBM and TD SYNNEX will now be working together even more closely to ensure that both established and new partners can get the full benefits.
