TD SYNNEX recently ran an exclusive event in partnership with Cisco that explored the exceptional opportunities now emerging with solutions. We’re expecting this area of the market to really take-off in 2023 and we’re now planning a further event to give partners the chance to learn about the potential and how they can get involved.
► Major trend that encompasses multiple technologies
► Significant opportunity to differentiate and add value
Daniel Griffin, business development manager - Cisco Enterprise Networking, said: ‘As organisations adjust to hybrid working and try to become more sustainable, they are having to re-imagine workspaces. They need technology to do that, and Cisco is right at the forefront of creating the office of the future.

‘We see this is a key trend for the next few years and we want to start working with partners on that as soon as possible. The idea of the event is to start that conversation and that journey toward being able to talk about and, deliver and support smart, integrated building solutions to customers. Becoming an expert in integrated smart building solutions gives partners a significant opportunity to differentiate their business, add value and get closer to customers.’
Cisco has already been setting the perfect example by revamping its flagship offices in New York – you can see a video about that here. As well as conventional networking technologies, it makes extensive use of Power over Ethernet (PoE), Wi-Fi and 5G technologies, IoT devices, and smart meeting room and collaboration solutions.
A similar re-fit is taking place at Cisco’s offices in the City of London, and this will act as a live demonstration facility for partners that invest in building their capabilities in this space. The TD SYNNEX briefing and workshop on Cisco smart building solutions is being planned for the springtime.
