HPE acquired what was described as the ‘crown jewel’ of cloud assessment, early in 2021 and has made it an integral part of its offering. With CloudPhysics, partners can give customers that have VMware environments real visibility into their underlying infrastructure and workloads.
Critically, CloudPhysics will provide a historical picture of the infrastructure, not just a snapshot, allowing customers to make data driven decisions and plan investment. It will map the entire VMware infrastructure and identify what resources each VM actually needs. This allows customers to make the right investment in the right places. It will also help them to assess the viability of moving workloads to the cloud.
Customers will start getting results within 15 minutes of deploying CloudPhysics and HPE partners that work with TD SYNNEX can now apply for a free license to use the tool for their customers. This would previously have incurred a significant cost and it thus represents a significant value-added service that partners are able to offer to their end user customers.
The system is agentless, entirely secure (no metadata is collected) and full assessments can be run in around 30 days. TD SYNNEX can also provide you with marketing materials to help explain the proposition to your customers.
