Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the general availability of Bedrock, its generative AI offering that enables organisations to build new applications and enhance productivity by scale the deployment of AI.

► Wide range of foundation models supported

► AI-assisted coding available

► Secure management of customer data

Bedrock is a fully managed service that makes several large machine learning models available through a single API, models that are pre-trained on vast amounts of data. These foundation models can be applied to a wide variety of uses and integrated into apps and securely tested and used on the customer’s own data.

With Bedrock, said AWS, it will be possible to experiment with a variety of foundation models and customise them with proprietary data. Additionally, Bedrock offers the ability to create managed agents capable of performing complex business tasks, such as making travel bookings and processing insurance claims, and creating ad campaigns and managing inventory – without any need to write code.
