TD SYNNEX has agreed to contribute and provide its expertise as an Industry Advisory Board member to a new project being launched by the UK Fashion and Textiles Association (UKFT), aimed at making an assessment and getting a clear understanding of the current baseline position on sustainability of the fashion and textiles industry.

TD SYNNEX has already worked with the UKFT and Leeds University on an award-winning project to drive sustainability through increased transparency within the supply chain. The new Network Plus project will bring together leading academic and industry stakeholders and experts from different disciplines and sectors to establish the current status of the industry on key measures and devise a plan to make improvements.
Neil Cornish, business manager for industry ecosystems at TD SYNNEX will participate as a member of the advisory board being set-up to lead the project. ‘The idea is to bring together the relevant expertise needed to measure both the progress and impact of current and future sustainability innovations on net zero targets in UK fashion and textiles – and inform more robust, scientifically-informed decision making’, he explained.
TD SYNNEX will contribute by drawing on its experience in developing industry ecosystems which bring together partners with different skill sets and solutions to address new customer challenges in different ways. One of the six current ecosystems is focused on sustainability and brings together a rich variety of capabilities. Participants include specialists running green data centres to experts in the IBM Envizi ESG data analytics and reporting solution.
