TD SYNNEX Datech has taken the next step in its strategic plan to broaden and diversify its vendor portfolio within the design software solution market. Having made excellent progress with the three new vendors brought on-board at the start of 2024, their focus is now on providing additional value by delivering digital distribution, automated services and platforms that support partners on their digital transformation journey.
► Alternative options for design software customers are doing well
► Opportunities for more partners to get involved
► Dedicated business development support available
In the early part of last year, TD SYNNEX Datech – the specialist design software solution business of TD SYNNEX – signed partnerships with Dassault Systèmes, Trimble, and Unity, all of whom offer software solutions for use in 2D/3D CAD design and digital-twin and 12 months on, all three partnerships are growing, said Abby Wrigley, Datech Director UK/I & Benelux.

‘We have brought partners on board for all three vendors and seen a good level of activity and some very good sales. We have dedicated business development managers for all three of these vendors, who are available to support partners every step of the way in offering these alternative solutions to their customers. We chose to work with Unity, Trimble, and Dassault Systèmes, as they provide excellent 2D/3D CAD design and drafting solutions offering our partners new avenues for business growth.’
Opportunities are often uncovered in unexpected places, she added. ‘A surprising number of businesses can make use of design and drafting software – such as landscape gardeners, self-employed builders and interior decorators. The chances are every partner has customers that fall into this camp, and that can be a very good incremental opportunity for them.
Until these new vendor alliances were formed, Autodesk was the primary vendor of TD SYNNEX Datech, who focused on meeting the needs of CAD partners. Last year, Autodesk updated their business model to work more directly with its end-users. Consequently, TD SYNNEX Datech made the strategic decision to broaden its portfolio, designed to give partners even more options to take to their customers.
