Deluxshan Mithiriadaas has joined the TD SYNNEX PC Systems team as the new Windows 11 programme manager, transitioning from a business development role. Deluxshan will support partners ahead of the October 2025 Windows 10 end-of-support deadline.
► Partners urged to contact customers early in the New Year
► Sustainable trade-in options available along with flexible finance
Time is running out for customers needing to upgrade their devices before the deadline. Despite reasons for delaying, partners must encourage early action, said Jay Allen, business unit director, PC Systems, TD SYNNEX.
"The Windows 11 upgrade offers significant benefits for end users. Partners may face concerns over software compatibility, training disruptions, budget constraints, and resistance to change. These challenges can be overcome, but it requires early discussions and planning. This allows partners to address objections and prepare new systems for installation before the October deadline."
Real focus
With a dedicated head in place, the TD SYNNEX team is ready to support partners in quoting, planning, and executing upgrades. ‘We want to ensure a real focus on Windows 11 and provide partners with the necessary information and support. We are also working to maintain high stock levels of Windows 11 systems, a process we've started with our vendor partners and will continue to monitor and adjust as needed,” said Jay Allen.
There will also be opportunities for 'add-on' upgrades, with customers likely to update their software and peripherals alongside their hardware, possibly opting for versions with more functionality or improved protection.
Trade-in options
Another important aspect of the upgrade plan will be making sure that partners are aware and ready to take advantage of trade-in options on Windows 10 systems. TD SYNNEX has a full programme in place through which a residual value can be offered on devices that are no longer needed by the customer. This makes the deal more attractive to customers financially and as all systems traded-in are sent for certified recycling or disposal, also helps them to meet sustainability targets.
In cases where customers are still struggling to find budget for new systems, several flexible finance options – including tech-as-a-service subscriptions – can be offered through TD SYNNEX Capital.
If end user customers cannot be persuaded to migrate to Windows 11 in time – or they can’t stop using Windows 10 due to critical software not yet being ready to run, they do have the option of paying around £48 per user per annum for continued support and upgrades. A lower fee may be available to NHS and certain other public service organisations.
Benefits of upgrading to Windows 11
TD SYNNEX will be helping partners to emphasise the benefits of Windows 11 over previous versions. These include improved performance, with smoother and faster boot-ups and improved running of complex applications, a more consistent interface, and built-in backup and restore. It also comes with better resistance against malware and makes it easier to use multiple displays. Windows Copilot generative AI is built-in and much more closely integrated with Windows 11.
