TD SYNNEX has made its OpenMPS managed print service even more flexible and appealing by adding a ‘cost-per-click’ option that enables partners to offer customers a pay-per-use service for print with auto-replenishment of ink and toner cartridges as required.
► Customers can pay only for what they print
► Flexible service makes OpenMPS even more appealing
With the cost-per-click (CPC) option, instead of being charged for replacement ink or toner cartridges, customers will be invoiced for the exact number of pages they print, with the replenishment costs included in their bill. The whole process is still managed through OpenMPS.

Peter Lunn, managed print lead, said that the CPC option had been added to meet changing customer needs. ‘Everything in IT is moving towards a subscription model and a lot of customers like the idea of cost-per-click. We’re always taking feedback from our partners and decided that this would be a good option to add. It’s easy to see the appeal, as it allows customers to see exactly what print is costing them month by month. From a reseller perspective, it’s excellent as the whole process is automated and it brings in recurring and profitable income.’
A free OpenMPS consultation on the CPC option is available for partners that want to explore it with their customers. Subsequently, a full proposal will be put forward that includes automated replenishment of printer supplies, device installation, enhanced warranty, and monthly recurring revenue.
