Top storage vendors, Synology and Crucial have launched new products that expand the options for SMBs, consumers, and systems builders looking for more performance and capacity.

Synology has announced the addition of an 8TB device to its Bee Series line-up. The BeeStation 170-8T is a hassle-free personal cloud solution designed for effortless file storage, backup, and sharing. With plug-and-play setup, it’s an ideal subscription-free alternative to cloud storage, and gives customers full control over data. They can still access files from anywhere with Synology’s intuitive mobile and desktop apps and keep track of documents with automatic backups and versioning.

Crucial (aka Micron) meanwhile, has released a new Gen4 entry-level SSD – the E100 is designed as a budget-friendly hard disk or SATA SSD replacement or upgrade and is also ideal for system builds. It boosts performance with read speeds of up to 5,000MB/s and capacities of up to 2TB and comes with a three-year warranty.
