The TD SYNNEX Services team has been growing fast and is now up to 15 heads in total – which means that it’s doubled in size over the past year. This is the result of focused investment in the team with the view to growing this area of business significantly.
Mark Glasspool, Director of Services at TD SYNNEX, is excited about what the next few months could bring. ‘I’m really pleased with the team we have assembled. We know that there is a big opportunity out there and we are serious about growing partner services business. For a lot of our customers – whether they are in B2B or retail – it’s not always easy to invest enough to build and develop their own services business. We are making it easier for them to offer services to end-users and thus add more value, get closer to customers, and build an additional revenue stream for their business.’

Sustainable business
The growing importance of sustainability is also a factor, he believes. ‘If we are providing those services for our partners – whether its configuration and direct shipment, on-site maintenance, or something else – that’s reducing the number of touch points in the supply chain and reducing emissions. Not having to do it yourself has an impact on sustainability, as well as your costs and profitability, as it is centred on one logistics and services facility.’
Also, it is not easy to recruit and retain skilled staff capable of delivering services to customers. Individuals and/or businesses need to be trained and accredited, they need the right software, to be aware of and adhere to data privacy rules, and businesses also need appropriate insurance.
We expect to grow our services business significantly over the next three years
A well-balanced team
One interesting aspect of the expanded services team make-up is that it has a close to 50/50 gender split. ‘It’s very diverse and that’s no accident. The whole team, including the management layer, is very well balanced and we have a lot of experience. Some have worked in finance for many years, others have been in different areas of TD SYNNEX for several years’
As well as people, TD SYNNEX has been investing in processes to streamline activity, making it easier for partners to access and offer TD SYNNEX services as part of their own value-added proposition to end-user customers. TD SYNNEX will also be introducing a whole raft of new services over the next few months (see below).
‘It’s an exciting time,’ said Mark Glasspool. ‘We are growing our services offering significantly and making it easy for partners to access, use, and deliver our services. This is an important part of our strategy and we expect to grow our services business significantly over the next three years.’

Services Director
Role: To establish TD SYNNEX as a leading services distributor across a broad range of services including financial, trade in, logistics, and marketing.
Outside work: I’m a keen golfer when I get the chance and I also enjoy road cycling if the British weather plays nice!

Sophia Haywood-Atkinson
Head of B2C & Trade-In Services
Role: Driving our recycling business and helping partners to make the latest and greatest technology more affordable and greener.
Outside work: As a black belt kickboxer, fitness is a way of life. I run marathons and teach Les Mills workouts classes. I’m a keen vegan cook too.

Paul Fletcher
Head of B2B for Tech-as-a-Service
Role: To lead, motivate, and empower my team, our resellers, and their customers to maximise opportunity with Tech-as-a-Service.
Outside work: I am married father of three first, and a farmer and groom second (as we also run a livery yard). If you know me, you already know; if you don’t, you will hear the clip-clop of horses on a call one day.

Robert (Rob) Beange
Finance Solutions Manager
Role: Finance specialist working with resellers and customers delivering strategic best in market finance solutions, including ‘as a service’, finance lease, hire purchase, and loans.
Outside work: I spend hours walking my dog, Max, I’m also a very amateur golfer and have recently taken up cycling.

Alix Clements
Services Business Manager
Role: Bringing in new value added services to create a stronger portfolio for resellers’ end to end solutions.
Outside work: I enjoy weightlifting, watching films, and sewing.

Madison O'Brien
Services Business Development Manager
Role: Helping our customers offer end-to-end service propositions while identifying and implementing new service offerings.
Outside work: I enjoy parkruns, learning languages, and baking.

Georgina Hobden
Business Development Executive – TaaS B2B
Role: Maintaining and building relationships with new and existing resellers for Tech-as-a-Service.
Outside work: I love going for a bottomless brunch with my friends and I am a big fan of all west end productions, my next production to see is Hairspray in July.

Rob Filipek
Finance Solutions Specialist
Role: Arranging finance for our resellers and their end users.
Outside work: I love spending time with my dogs and taking very long country walks.

Krunal Patel
Business Development Executive – B2B Renew
Role: Driving B2B trade-in services into TD SYNNEX’s resellers and assisting core vendors in meeting environmental and commercial goals.
Outside work: I’m an active member of my local Sunday league football team.

Victoria Pearmain
Assistant Category Manager
Role: Managing the TD SYNNEX Services Request Manager Inbox, SKU management, and assisting the team with developing our value added services.
Outside work: I enjoy cooking and am a keen Star Wars fan.

Elliot Chiltern
Role: Providing a solution to help customers with their end user Opex spending needs.
Outside work: I’m a very keen cyclist, who also likes to race.

Ben Sweetman
Role: I’m a first point of contact for resellers utilising Tech-as-a-Service through InTouch.
Outside work: I spend many hours PC gaming and re-enacting Bambi on ice playing hockey with the Bracknell Devils.

Matt Thorp
Role: Grow key accounts while providing a great customer experience and also spreading the great message of Tech-as-a-Service to high level contacts internally.
Outside work: I am a keen gamer, interested in a large plethora of sports, including tennis and cricket and I also just try to make the best of life. You only live once!

Alice Barker
Business Development Executive – TaaS B2C & B2C Renew
Role: My role consists of supporting and developing my B2C and trade-in customers, enhancing their sales whilst evolving and on-boarding new opportunities.
Outside work: I enjoy getting involved in group sporting activities and challenges, especially netball, dancing, and running.

Vassil Angelov
Business Development Executive – ITAD Renew
Role: Working alongside key resellers, partners, and vendors supporting TD SYNNEX’s trade-in services.
Outside work: Keeping active and staying healthy is very important to my physical and mental well-being. I enjoy a variety of sports and working-out on a daily basis.
