‘In March, Citrix made a number of changes to which partners and their customers are now adapting and the TD SYNNEX team is ready to assist on all and every aspect of the new approach’ said Virginia Cowles, virtualisation business unit manager, TD SYNNEX. ‘We know that some partners are finding it a challenge right now and we completely understand their frustration and sympathise with their position. What we want them to know is that we are doing everything we can – within our power – to get every request progressed and sorted, and to get partners back on an even keel as soon as possible.’

‘There is no question that the changes have caused some disruption, but they will hopefully deliver positive results in the end’, added Tony Whymark, business development manager for Citrix at TD SYNNEX. ‘There is a significant backlog of quotes and queries that we are trying to work through with the vendor at the moment. It is taking time, but we will keep going and we are confident that, one by one, we will see them all successfully resolved.’

While it is already managing an extensive backlog of requests, the TD SYNNEX team is ready to answer any questions or take any further issues forward, Virginia Cowles emphasised. ‘So many partners have come to us already, and they have been remarkably patient and understanding. We want them – and all other Citrix resellers – to know that we are ready to help them with any and every query or question that they still have.

‘We can assure them that we will be entirely open and candid about what’s happening and give them a realistic perspective. We’ll also make sure we keep them fully updated of how things are progressing. That’s important because our teams need to manage their expectation and those of their customers as well.’

Staying positive

It's important to stay positive, Tony Whymark added. ‘We are optimistic. The opportunity with Citrix certainly has not gone away. We believe that we can and that we will resolve all the issues that we’re currently working through and help Citrix partners successfully transition to the new programme and procedures. Once we have, we look forward to getting on and continuing to support Citrix partners, not only in retaining their Citrix business, but also growing it.’

TD SYNNEX has a team of ten co-workers with extensive experience in Citrix available to support partners

In March, Citrix announced changes designed to simplify partner accreditations and propositions, streamline operations, extend sales coverage, and provide added incentives for partners. These included an updated set of requirements for participation in the Citrix Fusion Partner Programme, and a simplification of its product line that saw sales of all legacy solutions ended and the discontinuation of auto-renewals. There were also changes to the way quotes are managed, which means all requests now need to be referred to Citrix.

TD SYNNEX has a team of ten co-workers with extensive experience in Citrix available to support partners. With a history of more than 25 years working with the vendor, no other distributor has a better insight into the company. As well as personalised account management and support, TD SYNNEX makes a number of enablement and operational tools available to help partners manage their Citrix business.
