Synology is making further additions to its already-comprehensive range of NAS offerings, with three new Desktop units The trio of 12-bay NAS units (DS3622xs+, DS2422+ and DX1222) are all are designed to provide ultimate storage flexibility.

The DS3622xs+ will be Synology’s flagship desktop NAS, being powered by a hex-core Intel Xeon processor and can be expanded with the DX1222 to provide maximum storage capability in the desktop form factor. The DS3622xs+ comes with 16GB DDR4 memory, expandable up to 48GB, and a five-year exclusive manufacturer warranty. It will succeed, but not replace the current DS3617xsII.
The DS2422+ meanwhile succeeds and will replace the DS2419+II. It features an AMD Ryzen Quad-core, 4GB DDR4 memory expandable to 32GB, and a three-year warranty, extendable up to five years.
