TD SYNNEX aims to kick-off new era of partner-to-partner interaction as it hosts in-person gathering at Celtic Manor

► Gatherings also aim to bring partners together for mutually-beneficial collaboration

The recent session at Celtic Manor brought together a number of closely-engaged VARs and MSPs in the first of a planned series of events aimed at providing a forum for partner alliances and helping TD SYNNEX’s team to hone and shape its approach to hybrid infrastructure and cloud.

Matt Child, managing director, Advanced Solutions, TD SYNNEX, UK & Ireland, said: “We have a big focus on hybrid right now, and it’s a complex and changing landscape – one that draws together infrastructure, the data centre, the cloud and security. We want to identify the combination of skills, capabilities and services our partners need from us, so that we can fully support their growth ambitions.”

TD SYNNEX is also placing increased focus on partner-to-partner collaboration, he added. “Both the needs of organisations and the technologies are changing at a break-neck pace. End user customers are pressing ahead with their digital transformation plans and adapting to new workplace models by re-engineering their IT infrastructures. It’s almost impossible for any single reseller business to cover all the bases. We want to work with our partners and encourage them to work with each other, and to make use of their complementary skills and capabilities. We are right at the start of making that happen, but we can already see the green shoots of a developing ecosystem, creating good potential for co-operative and mutually-beneficial partnerships.”

TD SYNNEX has been working with Ultima Labs to promote its IA-Cloud, automated cloud migration and management solution to MSPs and this solution was showcased at Celtic Manor. TD SYNNEX has also been running vertically-focused Industry Ecosystems – for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Wholesale and Retail, and the Red Hat community – for the last two years. The programme has now entered its next phase with a series of meetings that, for now, continue to be held virtually but are planned to switch to in-person gatherings before the end of the year.

We’ll be taking on more feedback at the round tables and from there, refining and communicating our plans to all partners

As well as asking partners what they really need to support their further growth and development, TD SYNNEX shared the latest market information and intelligence available from industry partners at the Celtic Manor event. Smaller round-table meetings are due to take place over the coming weeks in London and Manchester.

Helen Parsons, programme manager for advanced solutions at TD SYNNEX, said: ‘It was great to get a group of partners and TD SYNNEX people together again and we got some excellent feedback on what our customers would like to see us doing to help them develop their capabilities with hybrid cloud solutions. We’ll be taking on more feedback at the round tables and from there, refining and communicating our plans to all partners.’
