Leading UPS player Eaton has launched a new energy-efficient UPS that uses a lithium-ion battery to lower energy costs and reduce maintenance. Designed for small and medium-sized data centres, the 9PX UPS delivers double conversion protection with 40% less energy usage.

This next-generation solution constantly monitors power conditions and regulates voltage and frequency. It has an extended battery life of up to ten years and ‘set-and forget’ deployment means there are no concerns about maintenance or having the refresh batteries – which you’d have to consider much more frequently with devices that use lead-acid batteries.
Energy Star qualified, it provides the highest efficiency level to reduce energy and cooling costs. 9PX can meter energy consumption right down to the managed outlet groups. kWh values can be monitored using the LCD or Eaton’s Intelligent Power Software.
